2025 Increases to National Minimum Wage and pay for Statutory leave

The forthcoming changes to employers’ national insurance contributions have (understandably) grabbed the headlines, representing a significant increase in costs for most businesses.  However, April will also see increases in the national minimum wage, and pay for statutory leave as set out below:

National Minimum Wage

18 to 20

16 to 17 and apprentices

 

£6.40  £7.55

 

Statutory rates – increases

Statutory maternity, paternity, adoption, parental bereavement and shared parental leave

 

£184.03 per week  £187.18 per week
