We have more than 20 years’ experience of litigating cases in the Employment Tribunal, High Court and in the appellate Courts.
Advice and assistance we provide includes the following:
Employment Tribunals
Most employment law rights can only be litigated in the Employment Tribunals. Our experience of dealing with such cases allows us to advise clients based on not just what a textbook says, but what we know is likely to happen in practice. We understand the importance of meticulous preparation and know how best to present your case to maximise the chances of a successful outcome. We normally act for employers who are defending Employment Tribunal claims, but we do on occasions act for employees.
County or High Court Litigation
Certain employment related disputes may be litigated in the County or High Court, including high-value breach of contract cases, bonus disputes and litigation regarding restrictive covenants / team moves. We regularly advise clients and act on their behalf in relation to such disputes, including dealing with urgent applications for injunctive relief. There are often fine margins between what is lawful and unlawful in these situations, and experience of these disputes is crucial. When advising and representing clients about these issues we work closely with some of the UK’s leading barristers, who represent our clients in court.
